THE Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has been asked by Naga City Mayor Valdemar Chiong to inspect the area in Barangay Cantao-an where soil cracking occurred and affected around 40 households of the barangay's Sitio Riverside, Purok 1-B Upper, and 1-A Lower hellspin

The soil erosion was attributed by the locals to the DPWH's ongoing road project that crosses across the mountains from Naga City to Danao City in northern Cebu hellspin

According to Cantao-an barangay captain Christina Ababa, at least 28 people have already received relocation payments from the DPWH, while 24 families are still present at the project site, including those close to the riprap hellspin
